Accumulator, an essential component of a modern tube mill, is to store enough steel strips and guarantee continuous pipe production. There are three types of accumulator for tube mill: horizontal, vertical and spiral accumulator. Mill speed depends on the ability to store strip in order to feed a constantly running tube mill during the stop required for joining of coil ends. Although speed and accumulation capacity are key specifications to measure up an accumulator, quality materials require careful trip handling as well.
